SaunGuard is made from 95% organic cotton and 5% spandex. The cotton provides breathability and softness, while the small amount of spandex allows for stretch and a secure, supportive fit.

We chose organic cotton intentionally. Since SaunGuard is designed around protecting male reproductive health, material choice matters. Breathable natural fibers help reduce excess heat retention, which is one of the most well-documented factors affecting sperm quality.

There is also growing discussion around long-term exposure to synthetic materials. Some plastic-based textiles and fabric treatments can contain additives such as phthalates, which are known endocrine disruptors in certain exposure contexts. In addition, synthetic fabrics shed microplastic fibers, and microplastics have recently been detected in human tissues, though their full health impact is still being studied.

While research is ongoing, we believe using predominantly natural, breathable materials is the more responsible choice. SaunGuard was built with that philosophy from the start.

Remove the insert before washing. Wash the underwear in cold or normal (warm) water with regular detergent, just like standard underwear.

The insert can be rinsed and wiped by hand with a towel.

As with most clothing, frequent high-heat washing or high dryer heat can wear out elasticity over time. Avoid excessive heat to help maintain the fit, stretch, and performance of your SaunGuard underwear.

We recommend using one pair for 1–2 sauna sessions before washing. Sweat and heat build up quickly, so regular cleaning is important for hygiene and fabric longevity. We recommend having multiple pairs so you can rotate between sessions and keep your routine consistent.

In your gym bag, the ice pack typically stays cold for 1–2 hours, depending on insulation and starting temperature.

Inside the sauna, it will usually stay actively cold for around 20 minutes. Even after it has fully thawed, the area should remain noticeably cooler for quite a while compared to direct heat exposure. For most standard sauna sessions, that cooling window is sufficient to provide meaningful temperature control where it matters most.

dry saunas are the gold standard. The majority of research showing cardiovascular benefits, reduced all-cause mortality, and improved long-term health outcomes comes from studies on dry saunas that reach temperatures of 150–195°F.

Other modalities like red light therapy and steam rooms may have their own benefits, but they do not reach high enough core temperatures to replicate the same cardiovascular stress and heat shock protein response associated with dry sauna use. If you're optimizing for long-term health and measurable physiological adaptation, a high-heat dry sauna is the most evidence-backed option.

You can use a sauna as often as you want, as long as you stay hydrated. Most research showing longevity benefits involves using a dry sauna 4–7 times per week for about 15–20 minutes.

Sweating causes real fluid and electrolyte loss, and you may not feel as dehydrated as you are. Always rehydrate and replenish electrolytes after your session. Consistency matters more than extreme sessions.

Most people use the sauna after their workout. Your core temperature is already elevated and your circulation is increased, so the sauna extends the cardiovascular stimulus and helps your body relax into recovery. Using it before a workout can help you feel warm and loose, but longer sessions may reduce strength or endurance since you are already heat stressed. For most people, sauna after training is the better approach.

Sauna use can be very detrimental to fertility if you allow your testicles to overheat. Sperm production is extremely temperature sensitive, and the testicles sit outside the body for a reason — they are meant to stay cooler than core body temperature. Repeated exposure to high heat can reduce sperm count, motility, and overall fertility markers, and recovery can take months.

That’s why it is critical to keep your genitals cool during sauna sessions. If your tracking shows “delivered” but you don’t see the package, we recommend first checking nearby locations around your home (porch, side door, mailbox, garage) and confirming with household members or neighbors.

Occasionally, carriers mark packages as delivered slightly before they arrive, so it may show up within 24 hours.

If it still hasn’t appeared, please contact the shipping carrier directly using your tracking number. Once a package is in the carrier’s possession, delivery issues are handled by the shipping company.
